Biography

Anna Kinney secures valuable intellectual property protection for inventors and companies as a Patent Agent at Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig. She transforms innovations into protected assets by leveraging her unique combination of USPTO experience and chemical engineering background across a wide variety of technological fields including biotechnology, software, electronics, consumer products, and medical devices. 

With a passion for demystifying patent prosecution, Anna translates complex legal concepts into plain English..., ensuring clients remain engaged and informed throughout the process. She invests time to thoroughly understand each innovation while empathizing with the challenges inventors face, bringing professionalism, patience, and genuine curiosity to every client relationship. 

Anna lives in Loudoun County, Virginia with her husband and two adult children. She enjoys science fiction and fantasy, including both books and movies, as well as cooking and traveling.

At Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, our team of paralegals and staff work together collaboratively along side our attorneys toward a common goal. We have created a positive work environment where our paralegals and legal assistants work to successfully reach firm-wide goals and support each other to combine individual strengths to enhance team performance. They regularly assist our attorneys with organizing and maintaining files, conducting legal research, and preparing documents.
