Overview

Turning your driving ambition into reality

The automotive industry is being rocked by disruption, from electric vehicles and autonomous driving to sustainability issues and supply chain concerns. With innovation comes risk, so automotive companies need help developing, acquiring, and protecting new technology for their motor vehicles. They also need to find alternative ways to improve their production, address sustainability concerns, and resolve problems in their supply systems.

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig has represented major automakers for nearly two decades in a wide variety of product liability, class action, and patent cases. We have handled bet-the-company cases across the country, including in some of the most challenging jurisdictions in the U.S. Our attorneys have an undefeated record at trial in these cases and have favorably settled many more.

Our experience in the automotive industry

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig’s automotive team has particularly deep experience handling post-collision and electrical fire cases, seatback cases, rollover cases, and door latch cases. We have significant experience conducting single-vehicle crash tests and vehicle-to-vehicle crash tests. In fact, our attorneys have developed a national roster of crash test facilities and crash test engineers ready and able to handle multiple crash tests for multiple cases at the same time. Our attorneys also have strong relationships with the best experts in the country and routinely innovate cutting-edge techniques for demonstrating the safety and performance of our clients’ products.

Our multidisciplinary team includes nationally recognized automotive products liability trial lawyers and industry thought leaders. Our attorneys have handled some of the most serious post-collision fire cases in the country and have prevailed in many automotive class action cases with billions of dollars of potential exposure. They have also counseled clients with regulatory issues involving the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, including recall campaigns.
